Day 1: Errachidia Airport and drive to Merzouga – Camel and Night in the Desert
Our representative will meet you at the Errachidia airport and take you south towards the Sahara desert, passing through the Kasbahs and palm oases of the Tafilalet region. This is one of the main dates producing areas of Morocco and the collection takes place in October and November. Once you start seeing the golden dunes, you will soon reach Merzouga. Your 4-legged transport will be waiting to take you through the dunes to your camp to spend the night under the stars. Dinner and music will be provided around the campfire and an unforgettable memory to take with you.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Errachidia Airport
The best part of the day is often the sunrise; One of the camp team members will make sure you don’t miss it with an early attention call. Once you have had breakfast, you will take the camel to meet your driver. On your trip back to Errachidia, you will visit the commercial city of Rissani; The last outpost to get supplies for the desert. It has a colorful market and a delicious local dish called Medfouna; A pizza bread stuffed with meat and very tasty. The next interesting stop will be in Erfoud; Home of fossil and mineral workshops. Here you can see fossils of millions of years found locally and how they are cleaned and polished, they become many household items and, of course, the minerals are quite magnificent. You can even see real dinosaur bones. The driver will leave you at your hotel or at the airport.
