Your desert adventure begins with a drive across the High Atlas Mountains, winding through scenic passes and Berber villages. Stop at the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s most famous fortified village, featured in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
Continue to Ouarzazate, home to the legendary Atlas Studios, then head to the palm-dotted Skoura Oasis and the fragrant Valley of Roses. Reach the stunning Dades Gorges by sunset, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a charming guesthouse.
After breakfast, travel to the towering Todra Gorges, a favorite for photographers and climbers. Pass through Berber towns like Tinghir and the fossil-rich city of Erfoud, before reaching the golden dunes of Merzouga.
Here, your camel ride awaits—an unforgettable journey across the sand dunes as the sun sets. Arrive at your luxury desert camp, where private tents with en-suite bathrooms and cozy beds await. Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, live traditional music, and a night under a sky full of stars.
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast in the camp. Ride back by camel and start your journey toward Fes through Ziz Valley, known for its lush date palm groves.
Stop in Midelt, nestled between the High and Middle Atlas ranges, and known for its apple orchards and mineral-rich terrain. Continue through the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may spot Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.
Pause in Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” for its alpine-style architecture and cleanliness, before reaching the cultural capital, Fes, where your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel or riad.
