Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering incredible panoramic views. Along the way, stop in Telouet to explore its historic 17th-century Kasbah before continuing to the world-famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site used in countless films. After lunch and a quick visit to the Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate, the road leads to Skoura and eventually the stunning Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night in a charming hotel.
After breakfast, head to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, Morocco’s highest and narrowest canyons, perfect for scenic walks and photos. Continue toward Tinjdad for lunch, then pass through Erfoud and Rissani, gateway towns to the Sahara. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll sip Berber tea and relax before embarking on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sunset from the sands and enjoy a traditional dinner at a desert camp, followed by music around the fire under a star-filled sky. Overnight in a Berber Luxury tent.
Wake up early to catch the stunning sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. Begin your journey north, passing through the Ziz Valley and Errachidia. Stop for lunch in Midelt, then travel through the Cedar Forests of Azrou, where you may spot wild monkeys, and continue to Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland.” Arrive in Fes in the evening and check in at your hotel or riad for the night.
Today is devoted to discovering the rich history and spiritual essence of Fes, one of the world’s oldest medieval cities. With a local guide, visit the Al Karaouine Mosque and University, the tanneries, Bou Inania Madrasa, artisan workshops, and the souks of Fes el-Bali. Explore the Jewish quarter (Mellah) and admire the intricate woodwork and tile work throughout the medina. Overnight in Fes.
Depart Fes and drive toward Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. On the way, visit the remarkable Roman ruins of Volubilis, once the westernmost outpost of the Roman Empire. Then, stop in the sacred town of Moulay Idriss, a major spiritual site for Moroccans. In Meknes, admire sites like Bab Mansour and the Heri es-Souani granaries before continuing toward the Ouzoud Waterfalls region in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Overnight in the village near the falls.
Day 06 :Ouzoud Waterfalls – Imi n’Ifri – Marrakech
Start your day with a visit to the breathtaking Ouzoud Waterfalls, the tallest in North Africa. Enjoy panoramic views from above and then descend to the base to feel the refreshing mist and perhaps see Barbary monkeys in the trees. Have lunch near the cascading water before driving back to Marrakech. En route, stop to explore Imi n’Ifri, a fascinating natural rock bridge, before arriving in the city by late afternoon.
