5 Days Tour in Morocco from Casablanca to Fes

Your adventure begins in Casablanca, where we pick you up from your hotel or riad. We start the day by exploring some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, beautifully situated by the Atlantic Ocean. We also visit the Corniche and other highlights before setting off for Marrakech.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will have some free time to stroll through the old medina or simply relax in your riad or hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Marrakech.

After breakfast, enjoy a full day dedicated to discovering Marrakech, also known as the Red City. With a local guide, you will explore the city’s highlights, including the Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, and the Dar Si Said Museum. Later, visit the world-famous Majorelle Gardens, once designed by Jacques Majorelle and later restored by Yves Saint Laurent.

In the afternoon, dive into the bustling souks and narrow streets of the medina, filled with artisans, spices, carpets, and traditional Moroccan goods. As the sun sets, enjoy a drink or dinner overlooking the lively Jamaa El Fna Square, where musicians, snake charmers, and storytellers bring the city to life. Overnight in Marrakech.

After breakfast, we leave Marrakech and drive across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 meters). Along the way, we stop at small Berber villages and enjoy panoramic views. Our main highlight of the day is a visit to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its traditional clay architecture and as the setting of movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

We then continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Morocco” due to its film studios. After lunch, the road takes us through the Skoura Oasis and the Roses Valley, famous for its rose plantations and annual festival. In the evening, we arrive in the Dades Valley, where we stay overnight in a charming riad or hotel overlooking the valley.

Today, the journey takes us deeper into Morocco’s desert landscapes. After breakfast, we drive towards the Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with towering cliffs that reach up to 300 meters high, popular among rock climbers and nature lovers. After exploring the gorge, we continue through the towns of Tinjdad and Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara.

By afternoon, we reach Merzouga, where the adventure truly begins. After a short rest in a desert auberge, you will mount your camel and begin an unforgettable trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, the highest in Morocco. Along the way, admire the colors of the desert as the sun sets, casting golden hues over the sand. Upon arrival at the desert camp, enjoy sandboarding, a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and a night under the stars in a comfortable Berber tent.

Rise early to witness the magical sunrise over the Sahara dunes, a moment you will never forget. After breakfast at the camp, ride camels back to Merzouga and meet your driver. We then begin our journey north towards Fes. Along the way, we pass through Erfoud, the Ziz Valley with its palm groves and dramatic gorges, and the town of Midelt, located between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains.

Continuing our drive, we make a stop in the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to the famous Barbary macaque monkeys. We then pass through Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its alpine-style architecture and clean streets.
