ValleyDepart from Marrakech and journey across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the stunning Kasbah of Telouet and the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a famous backdrop for many films. After lunch and a stop at Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate, continue through Skoura and spend the night in the picturesque Dades Valley.
Travel through the Dades Valley and explore the dramatic Todra Gorge. After lunch in Tinjdad, head to the desert town of Merzouga. In the late afternoon, take a camel trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes to your desert camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner, live music, and sleep under the stars in a Berber luxury tent.
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel and continue toward Fes. En route, pass through the Ziz Valley, cedar forests, and Ifrane (known as “Little Switzerland”). Stop for lunch along the way before arriving in Fes for dinner and an overnight stay.
Depart Fes and drive to the imperial city of Meknes. Explore its historic gates, squares, and monuments. Continue to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in North Africa. Visit the nearby sacred town of Moulay Idriss before heading to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, for an overnight stay.
Tour Rabat’s key landmarks, including the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Afterward, head to Casablanca to visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Enjoy lunch and a stroll by the Atlantic coast before returning to Marrakech in the evening.
